Green Fair Project
Your Michigan soybean checkoff is helping county fairs go green. The Green Fair Project provides an opportunity for county fairs and farmers to work together to demonstrate the benefits of soy biodiesel and soy-based products such as cleaning supplies and building materials.
Through a competitive application process, the Michigan Soybean Checkoff will provide matching grant funds to agricultural fairs who use soybean products.
Funds are not to be used for lobbying purposes.
Deadline for application March 1, 2012
Notification of grant April 1, 2012
At the gate - print tickets, brochures, and signs with soy-based inks.
Around the grounds - Hand sanitizer, cleaning done with soy products and dust control.
On the midway - fuel rides and shuttles with soy biodiesel.
New barn or renovating - painting buildings, roof coatings, insulation, and building materials made from soy glue.
