District 7

District 7

District 7 is the remainder of the counties in Michigan which are located in western, mid and northern parts of the state. The counties include: Alcona, Alger, Allegan, Alpena, Antrim, Baraga, Barry, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Clare, Crawford, Delta, Dickson, Emmet, Gladwin, Grand Traverse, Gratiot, Gogebic, Houghton, Iosco, Iron, Isabella, Kalkaska, Kent, Keweenaw, Lake, Leelanau, Luce, Mackinac, Manistee, Marquette, Mason, Mecosta, Menominee, Midland, Missaukee, Montcalm, Montmorency, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Ogemaw, Ontonagon, Osceola, Oscoda, Otsego, Ottawa, Presque Isle, Roscommon, Schoolcraft and Wexford.
Steve Koeman of Hamilton currently serves as the District 7 Director.

Steve farms in partnership with his dad on their 2,600 acre farm. They raise corn and soybeans plus finish 8,800 swine as a contract grower each year. Steven was selected as Michigan Soybean Association’s Young Leader in 2006 and is a 2003-2005 graduate of Michigan Farm Bureau Institute for Leadership Education.
